The logo could be also regarded as a kind of musical instrument, Chinese chime-bells, the most splendid musical instrument of ancient China 2,400 years ago. Music educators/teachers at ISME in China can be part of a trip of a lifetime. We have taken groups to China many times and we consider the whole country the Eighth Wonder of the World – no matter how spectacular one day and one place might be, the next day will surpass it! As I have done in the past I will combine ISME with unbelievable sightseeing for you in this 8000 year old ancient civilization; the Forbidden City, the Great Wall of China, the Temple of Heaven, the beautiful Summer Palace, The Ming Tombs, the thousands of lifesize terra cotta warriors in Xian, I could go on and on.
In Beijing, the environment is exquisite, the cultural atmosphere is delightful. It’s one of the most interesting and exciting places for international guests to visit, and displays a peaceful and harmonious environment between people and nature. There are numerous venues for entertainment covering an enormous range of Chinese national styles such as national instrumental music, national vocal music, national drama performances, Peking opera, comic dialogue, humorous sketches and so on.
The facilities, transportation system and hotel accommodation were significantly improved and the environment was improved for the 29th Olympic Games which were held in Beijing. All these are favorable for the ISME 2010 world conference. |
